WE BELIEVE IN COMMUNITY
The Rotary Club of Umina Beach received its Charter and was formed in February 1976. The club works in all areas of service but has a particular focus on youth.
We often host overseas students from many different parts of the world to study and live within our community for a period of 12 months. We also organise the same opportunity for our youth to study for 12 months in many different parts of the world.
We proudly support numerous local community projects, some of which are Brisbane Waters Secondary College Umina Campus, Top Blokes Foundation, Mary Macs and YC Group to mention a few.
We have been active internationally in a number of projects some of which include installing water tanks and solar panels to a school on Vakuta Island (Papua New Guinea) and providing assistance for disaster relief for those around the world affected by natural disaster.
Our meetings often include a local guest speaker on interesting and varying topics as well as vocational visits to businesses and organisations on the Central Coast.
WHAT IS ROTARY?
Rotary is a group of community members just like you who enjoy social networking and serving and supporting their local community and the broader international community. We also enjoy social outings for the enjoyment of members and their partners.
